What is no code?
No-code is a set of development technologies that allow analytical users to build and deploy applications or other pieces of software. No-code development is done through a visual user interface rather than by writing and editing lines of code. Software built in no-code is deployable without DevOps, so often no-code software runs on top of the no-code platform.

How does no-code work?
At its core, code is an abstraction for machine-level instructions. Computers can only store, read, and write data from/into memory and perform basic operations on that data. Development langauges abstract that process into concepts like arithmatics, looping/recursion, and data transfers. Data storage is abstracted into types and classes. No-code takes this a step further by providing libraries that turn visual code (pictures) into textual code (words).

Alongside this come some fundamental truisms:
No-code will never solve every problem for everyone, just like individual scripting languages.
No-code will always fulfill its intended functions better than code.
No-code platforms are built for specific purposes and no platform is always better than all others.
Is there still code in a no-code application?
There’s always code! But, in a no-code application, the code lives behind the scenes and all coding is done visually. This stands in contrast to low-code applications, which mix visual development with coding, often when the application requires complex logic or data management. The hall-mark of a true no-code system is truly code-free business logic and data administration. In ENC, users can also deploy scripts through the Calc Service. These scripts can be called throughout the workflow to perform quantitative work requiring high-performance—pricing algorithms, risk models—yet they’re never required for operationalizing logic and administering data.
Why Now for
No-Code?
Today’s enterprises face an ever-more complex landscape, with ever-more sophisticated challengers. Traditionally, enterprises weren’t designed for agility, yet enterprises’ success in the past decade has been a function of their ability to respond quickly, efficiently to new challenges. No-code are self-documenting in nature, with full visualization across operations. Moreso, they provide rigid organizations with the tools to move quickly and innovate in their domains.
Bespoke Needs
Every organization has its own needs, and globalization has only pushed this paradigm further. Now, organizations cannot rely on proximity to retain business, and modern enterprises must serve clients in varying localities. No-code helps different departments build bespoke automations that precisely address their needs and improve client experiences.
Limited Human Resources
For ever 2 new engineers, there are 3 new engineering jobs. Enterprises are stuck competing for a proportionally shrinking pool of talent while developers are stuck working on routine tasks. With no-code development, Engineers can focus on innovation (Web3, AI/ML, NLP, etc.) while analysts and business users build and maintain enterprise automations and systems.
Security and Resliliance
With the advent of anonymous payments and the dissemination of malicious skills, cyber and informational security has never been more paramount. The old system of exposing raw code to hundreds of rotating developers, leaving databases unencrypted, and accepting that technology is a blackbox to business cannot persist. Modern organizations are turning to no-code to alleviate these business continuity risks.
Legacy and Technical Debt
Organizatrions continue to rely on antiquated systems with few internal resources to eliminate technical debt and maintain legacy code. With no-code, coding is visual and fast, allowing you to bridge gaps with permanent solutions instead of workarounds. ENC can be used to control legacy services as you transition to the future.
The approach to technology is shifting away from traditional systems accessible only to IT, towards modern systems embedding business directly into systems operation. Leading organizations are making the shift to no-code to meet the needs of a digital world..
